Does the "credit" apply to adoptions completed prior to 2010? Our adoption was completed in 2008. We got some of our credit last year and are getting more this year. Does that mean that next year we would receive the rest of it, now matter or liability? Or do we just continue to receive it over the 5 year period it can carry over.

Michael and Amy,

The "featured video" is worth every minute and speaks volumes. I have 3 families that I'm immediately passing this onto in their present need for support, direction, and community. Pray with me that they make the needed connections and grasp your (and God's) vision and heart, and that they find needed help to succeed as an adoptive family in representing God's amazing love.

Thank You,
Anna L. Erickson, LMSW

Amen! to the quote by Christie taken from her book. I live in MN, and my husband and I are new foster parents. Christie has said it so well, and as long as God gives me breath and allows us to minister to these children, we will be there for them :). I'm looking forward to reading her book!

The whole conference was great. They just keep getting better and better every year. Your attention to what those attending need to hear is refreshing.

The one on Foster Parents on a Mission was awesome! And the one on marriage had me laughing and nudging my husband. Travis did a great job. I would enjoy hearing more from him in the future.

Kara Holt's session on child-led play was great. I was fascinated by the way in which we can give our kids a voice by allowing them to play out their thoughts and experiences. It's amazing what can happen when we get out of the way (and yet remain present).
